More Information
Long-Range Tropical Cyclone Outlooks for the Southwest Pacific (TCO-SP) provide deterministic and probabilistic island and regional-scale tropical cyclone outlooks for the Southwest Pacific region. Updates are provided monthly (July-January) so that the latest changes in ocean temperatures and atmosphere variability can be considered by the statistically-driven models. Our goal is to produce high-quality outlooks for the region to support decision-making and reduce disaster risk.
The methodology and validation of TCO-SP is explained in our Scientific Reports paper.
